23rd July 2007 - In preparation for the imminent arrival of my Chassis (!!) I went out spending again today, and bought a set of axle stands and a trolley jack. Been looking for second had ones for ages (on e-bay etc) but to no avail. When it came down to it, they weren't that expensive new (£50 the lot), and will be well used, so I treated myself!

30th June 2009 - I bought a Dremel Radius Cutter attachment for my Dremel tool. I needed something I could cut a perfect hole in the tunnel for the gearstick. The exact model is a  Dremel 449 Circle and Line Cutter. If you only buy one more tool, get one of these!!! £9.00 and perfect for the job.

2nd Feb 2008 - bought a new vice as my old one wasn't up to the myriad of jobs I needed it for. This one is brilliant and not only rotates 360 degrees but also rotates fully from the jaws so you can set it to just about every angle you need to work on. All for £44  from Machine Mart!! I also bought some "soft" jaw protectors to go with it to protect delicate parts I will be working on.

15th Jan 2008 - Ford Motor Sport air filter purchased from V8 Tuner. Complements the Rocker covers and looks brilliant!!!

20th Dec 2007 - Had a problem drilling holes for the Rivnuts in the confined space of the Chassis, until I bought this useful drill attachment. Together with a 7mm "stub" drill bit I got all the holes drilled with no more problems.

18th Nov 2007 - Bought a Rivnut tool from the internet for £20. I needed it for the brake pipe install and I'm sure it will come in useful for other applications as the build progresses. I also bought a brake flaring tool kit. It was only £9.00 so I was a little bit dubious, but it worked well and I'm pleased with it. At this rate I'll need a bigger workshop to get all the tools in that I am accumulating!!!!

6th July 2007 - Bought an XJS "Fly off" Handbrake lever from a guy on E-Bay. The chrome is still in good condition, but then again, it will probably be covered in leather or something anyway!!! For £22 I'm not complaining. It would have cost me £50 more if I had bought from GD. Every penny counts!!

Not sure how it all fits together or how I connect it to the chassis, but I'll worry about that when the time comes!!

7th May 2007 -   Answered an advert in the East Midlands Cobra Club news letter, offering free build wheels for anyone who can pick them up. When I rang and spoke to Chris, he told me he only lived 10 minutes from Stoneleigh. As I was going to the Kit Car Show there today...........!! Called at Chris's on the way to the show, and not only did he give me the wheels (and nuts), but he also gave me an SVA inspection manual. What a great bunch of people there are in the Cobra community!! Further more, (how good can it get!) he took me for a blast in his GD with an LS6 engine power plant. The only thing I can say is WOW!! Don't think I have ever been in such a quick car. Fantastic power and very smooth. Also the whole car was beautifully prepared.......................Thanks Chris!

See the pictures below. All I have to do is fill in the space between the wheels and I'm ready to go!!! :o)

24th April 2007 -  Now that's what I'm talking about!! Expensive......probably! Overstated............maybe!! Do they add a bit of required "Bling" to the engine................DEFINITELY!!

While waiting for things to come back from reconditioning at Wards, I was browsing round the Internet and saw these!!! Sourced some at "JRV8" and ordered some straight away. They are not advertised on Jim's site but give him a call (or e-mail) and he will supply.
